Pencil Drawing by Lee Everett at the age of 13
Lee Everett has been drawing most all of his life. He studied classical drawing techniques and the great masters as early as Junior High School and continued through four years at Pratt Institute. Among his many influences in the art of drawing are DaVinci, Escher, Michaelangelo, Ingres, Degas, Dali and many others. He taught drawing and studio art at various schools over the years in New York and in the Berkshires as well as private instruction. Although he uses many dfiferent mediums in his art, pencil has certainly been his favorite and his most expressive. Lee has recorded the world around him in his sketch pads, and created sensitive portraits and figure studies which have always been the predominant subjects of his work. Also included with samples of Lee's drawings on this website are his unique characters created from hand carved hardwood burls, balanced rock cariens done in natural locations, artistic photography of figures, flowers and abstracts and hand rendered pictorial illustrations.
